On September 1, 2009, the Committee of the Gerard Manley Hopkins Festival voted to move to Newbridge for the 23rd Annual Festival. This is an exciting new chapter in our history and with new Members and many of the old statwarts, we are all looking forward to the move. 2010 marks the 23 rd Annual International Hopkins Literary Festival. It attracts participants from many countries. The Music Programme includes both traditional Irish and classical: in 2010, Celine Byrne, Ireland's newest sensation, just home from her tour with Jose Carreras will enthrall our visitors.
